Neuruppin and Rheinsberg by Coach

This trip will take you to Neuruppin and to Rheinsberg. Neuruppin is located by a beautiful lake and after a great fire in 1787, there was a planned reconstruction in the early classicist style

Rheinsberg Palace with its characteristic round towers, its palace gardens and the large park lies next to a romantic lake. The palace was the long-time residence of Prince Henry, brother of Frederick the Great

The Spreewald or Spree Forest is a marshland between the cities of Berlin and Cottbus with many waterways. Take a relaxing trip through forests and meadows with the typical keel-less flat boats, the so called Spreewald Punts

The Ship Elevator in Niederfinow

Niederfinow lies at a distance of about 75km (46 mi) east of Berlin. Here you will find an important artefact of transport technology: an elevator which transports ships on the Oder-Havel-canal. This elevator has a transfer height of over 30 m (100 ft), the vertical distance between the Oder valley and the “Barnim” high plateau. The elevator platform is an enormous water basin with foldable gates, and from here there is an impressive view over the Oder valley. A visit to the medieval Chorin monastery or a visit to the nature reserve “Unteres Odertal” can be integrated

Sachsenhausen Memorial

In the city of Oranienburg, north of Berlin, lies the former site of the Nazi concentration camp Sachsenhausen, which is now a Memorial Site. The area of the Memorial is very large – it is advisable to spend approx. three hours on a visit
